PRESS RELEASE
Belgian data scale-up Daltix expands into Germany.
- The BeNeLux market leader in FMCG data is expanding into Germany, offering comprehensive near real-time data on price, promotion and product information in the retail industry.
- The expansion is spearheaded by Claus Unterkircher, former General Manager DACH for Voi Technology and before that, Head of Operations at Uber.
Daltix is now offering comprehensive grocery retail data in Germany. The Big Data start-up entered the market in Belgium in 2016 and has since grown to over 25 employees. Daltix’s customers include major retailers and suppliers with headquarters or expansion plans in BeNeLux.
With Daltix data, retailers, suppliers and third parties such as market researchers can access and analyse daily updated data on full assortments of numerous food retailers. Data includes price, promotion and product details, such as Nutri Scores at different levels of detail and in comparison to the same brand products or even private label.
Access to this type of data can be applied in several ways, such as comparisons of assortments, promotion mechanics, prices and product availability. A data feed to a customer’s own BI systems can easily be integrated with existing purchase and sales data. In this way, Daltix adds ease to analysing data, giving retailers near real-time insights to whether price and promotion strategies are achieving the desired results.
To support its growth in Germany, Daltix has acquired Claus Unterkircher, who most recently brought the e-scooter startup VOI to Germany, Austria and Switzerland and was previously Head of Operations at Uber. Claus Unterkircher comments,
Entering the German market is an exciting and natural step, since Daltix has already successfully worked with the largest retailers in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. The expansion was simply a matter of time.

Jonas Deprez, the founder of Daltix: “Daltix wants to help analysts, buyers and commercial teams at retailers to make the right decisions with very high quality data. Let us take care of the complexities of collecting, structuring and cleaning data, so that you can focus on your core business.”
